Services · Couples

For partners who want to be understood by each other again.

Who this is for

Most couples arrive tired: tired of the same argument, tired of feeling unseen, tired of waiting for it to sort itself out. Couples therapy gives you a structured space where both people can be honest and where the therapist holds both sides fairly. It works for couples in crisis and for couples who simply want to do better before things get harder.

What we can help with

You don't have to fit any of these exactly. They're here so you can recognize something familiar.

  • The same argument on repeat, and conversations that escalate fast
  • Feeling distant, disconnected or like roommates
  • Rebuilding trust after a betrayal or a rupture
  • Intimacy and physical connection
  • Disagreements about parenting
  • Blending families and step-parenting
  • Big decisions together: marriage, children, moving, money, careers
  • Adjusting as a couple after immigration
  • Deciding whether to stay together, with support either way

How we help

The approaches our clinicians draw on, in plain language. Your therapist will explain what makes sense for you and why.

Emotionally Focused TherapyEFT

Helps a couple see the cycle they get caught in, who pushes, who pulls away, and what each person is really feeling underneath it, so the fight stops being about who is right.

Gottman-informed communication work

Practical tools for calming a conversation before it blows up, repairing afterwards, and turning toward each other in ordinary daily moments.

Systemic and relational work

Looks at the wider picture, families of origin, culture, roles at home, because relationship patterns rarely start inside the relationship.

Joint sessions with individual meetings

Where useful, each partner also meets the therapist alone, so both are supported as people and not only as half of a couple.

Who you'd be working with

Availability and areas of work come from each clinician's own profile.

Common questions

What if only one of us wants to come?+

That's a common starting point. Individual work can still change the relationship, and it often makes it easier for a partner to join later.

Do you take sides?+

No. The therapist's job is to hold both of you fairly and make sure each of you feels heard, especially in the hard conversations.

Other areas of support

Whenever you're ready.
