Services · Career Coaching
Work that fits the person you are now.
Who this is for
Career coaching is not therapy. It is focused, practical work on your professional life, led by Leslie Virag. Much of it is with internationally trained professionals rebuilding a career in Canada, and with people at a crossroads who want to think clearly before deciding what comes next.
What we can help with
You don't have to fit any of these exactly. They're here so you can recognize something familiar.
- Rebuilding professional confidence after immigration or a career break
- Having international experience recognized in the Canadian market
- A long, discouraging job search
- Interviews, networking and communicating across work cultures
- Deciding on a direction at a career crossroads
- Feeling that your expertise is not being seen or valued
How we help
The approaches our clinicians draw on, in plain language. Your therapist will explain what makes sense for you and why.
Gestalt-informed coaching
Works with what is happening right now in a conversation, so the barriers that are hard to put into words become visible and possible to work with.
Emotional intelligence
Practical work on how you read situations, communicate and hold your ground in a new professional culture.
Career strategy
Concrete planning: how you present yourself, which conversations to have, which applications to make, and the next step that is actually available to you.
Who you'd be working with
Availability and areas of work come from each clinician's own profile.
Common questions
Is career coaching the same as therapy?+
No. Coaching focuses on your professional life and the steps ahead. If something therapeutic comes up, we can talk about the right support inside the clinic.
Is coaching covered by insurance?+
Coaching is generally not covered by extended health plans. Fees are explained clearly before you begin.
Other areas of support
Whenever you're ready.
Book an appointment, or send a note first if you'd rather talk to a person before deciding.
