Beatriz Soares
Registered Social Worker

Master’s in Social Work at Kennesaw State University
My approach to therapy is centered around building a genuine connection and creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Couples Method, as well as strengths-based, trauma-informed, and mindfulness approaches. I believe in adapting these approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, personality, and goals.
Through my clinical experience in inpatient mental health, school, and community settings, I’ve worked with individuals ranging from 12 to 65+ years old who have experienced a variety of emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns. My experience includes both individual and group therapy, as well as working collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to support their goals and well-being.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process that is tailored to the individual. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported while developing emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and healthier relationships.
