Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expected. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from who we are, from others, or from the life we hoped to be living. In those moments, reaching out for support can feel vulnerable but it is also a brave step towards your self-care.
My approach to therapy begins with connection. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen and heard without judgment or pressure. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what you’re going through, and find ways to move forward that feel aligned with your values and who you are.
I bring a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and collaborative approach to my work, shaped by both my professional experience and my own life transitions. Having supported individuals from diverse backgrounds across mental health hospital, community crisis response, and private care settings, I understand how deeply our stories, cultures, and relationships shape our mental health.
In our work together, we might explore patterns that no longer serve you, learn ways to regulate overwhelming emotions, or reconnect with your strengths and sense of purpose. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based practices, always adapting to what feels right for you.
I also have a passion for working with children, where therapy often unfolds a little different through play and creativity. This passion has been shaped by experiences in both Brazil and Canada. In Brazil, I had the opportunity to support vulnerable children whose well-being was at risk – an experience that deeply impacted me. In Canada, my work as a caregiver for young children has continued to nurture and strengthen this passion.
